In 1996, Ritco Kirti Associates (P) ltd. Was established with a focus on the contract logistics business. Ritco quickly became one of the leading liquid movers, specialising in the transport of petrochemicals. Following this Ritco Logistics was formed in 2001. Over the years, with astonishing pace, we became the largest provider of petroleum transport solutions with 750+ drivers, brokers and owners associated with Ritco over 150+ locations across India.
In 2006, a Blazing star king was chosen, and 20 Ritconians began receiving Operational Training, Grooming, and Management Training in preparation for the future positions of Business Heads, Operations Heads, and Accounts Heads. Ritco Kirti Associates Pvt. Ltd. incorporated into Ritco Logistics to better serve customers and gain visibility. In 2009, Ritco stepped into the world of Rit-Now, an online ERP solution for operations, accounting, and finance, after implementing in-house offline software. We provided computer training to every Ritco employee and created special training teams for driver training and operating procedures.
In 2011, a new online tracking system was successfully introduced to view the location of any shipment through Ritco's website/mobile app. In order to provide the best service to its LTL customers, we also started our fleet of trucks. In 2016, we continued our focus on expansion as we kept on updating our fleet. At this point, we could do real-time geo-tracking of our fleet’s vehicles using smartphones and our website. (..) Mr. Sahaj Wadhwa joined as the head of fleet, his role focused on (..) Ritco stepped into the tyre industry (..) We also entered the FMCG industry and started dealings with HUL, Perfetti, Godrej, Patanjali, Emami etc. We continued to focus on expansion and keep on updating our fleet. We can do real-time tracking of our fleet of the new branches with mobile and website. In 2016, Sahaj Wadhwa joined as Head-Fleet Excellence, he focused on improving asset utilization, driver development & safety. In 2017, Mr. Dhananjay Prasad joined as CEO. He focused on updating systems & processes along with the latest automation in Operation & Business.
Ritco stepped into the Tyre segment and started their business with MRF, JK, and a few more. We began dealing with prestigious customers such as OPAL, BCPL, MRPL, etc. We entered the FMCG segment and started dealing with HUL, PERFETTI, GODREJ, PATANJALI, EMAMI, etc. In 2018, Ashok Lealand signed an MoU to supply 500 vehicles & provide long-term repair solutions at a fixed cost with a guaranteed downtime.
Ritco registered itself at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in February 2019. We focused on the modernization of fleet centres in Dahej and the construction of fleet yards in Guwahati, Surat & Panipat, equipped with all advanced amenities. As of July 2019, we have begun exporting from ONGC Petro Additions Limited "Gujarat" to Pakistan. The management established various committees, including the Workers Committee, Safety Committee, Harassment Committee, Grievance Committee, and anti-Sexual Committee, to eliminate hurdles at the workplace and enable employees to concentrate on their work. As we are technologically driven logistics we introduced a unique software “Work Deadline” for greater efficiency and to rectify human error. We introduced a new initiative called “Saarthi Awaz”, where employees of each Fleet Center interacted with Saarthi(our drivers) about their experiences, followed by suggestions and inputs which were taken positively and implemented to make some changes to improve their work environment and efficiency with greater time management. We reached greater heights and successfully implemented IOCL Paradeep project of transporting their product in pan India. We started dealing in new verticals such as FMCG, Liquor, Cement, Infra, Consumer, Electricals, etc.
We Innovate when we face hurdles. In 2020, everything changed. Covid-19 did not stop us, but we accelerated our digitalization process. We introduced completely contactless and cashless deliveries first-to-last mile. We turned adversity to our advantage and delivered in difficult times to reach every customer.
